…another one bites the dust, and another one gone, and another one gone, retire 12 more we must!
2018 is certainly off to a better start than 2017. Just two days after Rep. Ed Royce jumped ship to avoid the incoming blue wave, Rep. Darrell Issa joined him. California’s Republicans in Congress are fleeing for the life rafts before they suffer a humiliating defeat in November.
You made this happen!
The collective power of the California Resistance is reminding our Republican delegation day in and day out that we’re paying attention and tired of their constant votes that harm our state and their constituents. Their grip on Congress is slipping away, and they know it.
Our mission at Flip the 14 is to motivate and mobilize the Resistance to think bigger than the seven Republican-held districts in California that Hillary Clinton won in 2016. We see a tsunami on the horizon that can wipe the slate clean in our state, but it’s going to take a lot of work.
We spent our holiday break digging deep into the numbers, trying to understand what it will take to win in some of the tougher seats, and we’ve never felt more confident that upset victories up and down the state are possible. Now is the time to be bold and decisive.
If you want to be part of this campaign, sign up to volunteer today. Our new volunteer coordinator is reaching out to people this week to put everything in motion. If you’re part of a Resistance group that needs help, let us know on our request line. We’re here to fill in the gaps. And of course, contributions are always appreciated to help us continue our work.
Now’s the time to jump in, friends. The water’s nice and blue, and it’s heading to a district near you.
