Call YOUR Member of Congress, Democrat or Republican, and ask them to publicly urge diplomacy with North Korea. Ask them to publicly denounce Trump’s bellicose rhetoric toward North Korea before it gets someone – or millions of someones – killed. While you’re at it, ask them to fully fund all peacebuilding programs in the State Department, where Trump has called for a 32% cut in funding.
You can look up your Member of Congress here or call the House of Representatives switchboard at (202) 224-3121.
In late August, Flip the 14 held its first activist training. It was a resounding success. More than 50 activists from at least nine Resistance groups in CA-10 showed up to a union hall in Modesto for a full debrief on volunteer recruitment strategies, messaging, neighbor-to-neighbor persuasion, and more. Some even drove more than 30 minutes away to attend. We committed to ten campaign canvasses over the next six weeks, and we’re fired up and ready to flip the 10th.
Trump’s monstrous decision to terminate Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) in six months is a betrayal of the highest order. They came to America as young children, and they signed up for DACA to live, work, and contribute to our country. America is their home. They now face terrifying uncertainty. If DACA is ended, 1,100 a day will lose their right to legally work in America. That’s not right.
